Ombudswomen
The German WDP Committee has appointed two ombudswomen who provide support in regard to complaints about inappropriate and unfair procedures and behavior in case official channels are not suitable for them. An institution has been created exterior to the WDP- association independent to the organs, the honorary and full-time employees, donors and project partners enabling an impartial approach to disputes.
The ombudswomen are on hand to volunteer and full-time employees, donors and project partners as contact persons who consider having been treated in an inappropriate or unfair manner without having to fear disadvantages for them as people reporting. The support provided by the ombudspersons is free of charge for reporting persons.
The ombudspersons discuss the matter with the reporting persons. They will make an independent assessment of the dispute. They will weigh up the arguments put forward by both sides and carry out a comparison of damage, effort and cost factors. If necessary, they will ask for verbal or written statements, try to clarify the facts to reach a satisfactory solution and make recommendations for further action.
Ombudswomen at the German WDP Committee are:
Dr Margret Nemann and Vanessa Schlevogt.
Both have extensive professional qualifications (e.g. supervision training) and experience in support and counseling.
They can be contacted at:
