The collections have always been an important part of any worship service on the Women’s World Day of Prayer. It is a visible sign of global connection and solidarity. Each national Women’s World Day of Prayer Committee decides on the use of the collections itself.

What are the collections used for?
The collections have always been an important part of any worship service on the Women’s World Day of Prayer. It is a visible sign of global connection and solidarity. Each national Women’s World Day of Prayer Committee decides on the use of the collections itself.
A large part of the collections from the Women’s World Day of Prayer services in Germany go towards projects for women and girls all over the world. The amount collected in Germany since the 1990s ranges between 2.5 and 3 million euros per year.
