By empowering women and girls, the project support of WWDP Germany places importance on development cooperation based on gender equality.

In order to reassert the interests of women and girls, it is not enough to just improve their current living situation. This is why the Women’s World Day of Prayer also focuses on solidarity with women’s issues in its project cooperation.

This means that we take a critical look at the structures in politics, business, church and society which prevent women from living their lives according to their own ideas.

With our partner organisations, we work to change this structure and to eliminate structural barriers. Personal, social and economic autonomy of women and girls can become reality in the medium or long term.
